The first anime song that came to mind when I read this was L’Arc~en~ciel’s Link, thus, the image.

Though I can relate to this (most of my favorite anime are from the mid-90’s to early 2000’s), most anime being produced today are NOT H-anime. Yes, many of them are moe (which is an entirely different thing), but that’s a trend that comes and goes in Japan. There are still many great stories and characters to be found in anime; you just may have to dig a little deeper to find them.
(I’m not one to talk, of course. The last full anime I completed watching in its entirety was Romeo x Juliet; the anime I’m watching now are The Twelve Kingdoms and Chrono Crusade, both from the early 2000’s; and the only anime I found myself remotely moved by, as far as “newer anime” go, were Kimi ni Todoke and No. 6.)
Yes, same. All my favorite anime series are from the 90s and early 2000s. I’m sure there are very good anime out there now, they are just hidden gems in the sand. I’m honestly tired of moe and characters that strictly follow being a tsundere, loli, and all other stereotypes of anime. There’s hardly any more realistic characters any more.
